Elite Dance Academy Programs and Classes


Mommy-n-Me Class (ages 2-3 years old)

A class designed for the youngest dancer and their mom, An interactive class working on basic motor skills and coordination and musicality while partnering up with mom.

Tot’s n Tu Tu’s Ballet & Tap Combo (3 years old)

A class designed especially for the younger Elite members. For those spirited children who are twinkle tots at home! This class introduces movement to music through introduction to ballet and tap. The children participate in classes based on familiar characters and themes. Meets once per week. No experience necessary.

Tiny Toes n Tappers Ballet & Tap Combo (4 years old)

Class for enhanced movements in ballet and tap with relaxed exercises, building coordination and fine motor skills around their favorite characters, music and related themes. Meets once per week. No experience necessary.

Kinder Ballet Classes (5 years old - Kindergarten)

A uniquely designed class for students who have mastered all the preschool skills. These children will be introduced to the barre, where basic positions and combinations will be demonstrated. Body alignment is emphasized at this level. Meets once per week. No experience necessary.

Kinder Jazz/Hip Hop Classes (5 years old - Kindergarten)

These classes introduce the beat and rhythm to music while connecting basic jazz/hip hop steps. The children are ready to display their skills while building self esteem and refined socialization skills around their favorite characters, music and themes. Meets once per week.

Pee Wee Ballet & Jazz Combo Class (Ages 6 & up)

A beginner class that introduces coordination while working with music. Students are introduced to the barre where body awareness is emphasized. The class also introduces basic jazz moves incorporated into familiar techniques, body isolations and crossovers. Meets once per week. No experience necessary.

Pee Wee Ballet Technique Class (Ages 5-8)

A beginner class that introduces coordination while working with music. Students work at the barre where body awareness is emphasized. Meets once per week. No experience necessary.

Pre-Teen/Teen Hip Hop (Ages 10 & up)

An intermediate class using free, expressive, and highly energetic moves taught to R&B and Hip Hop Music.

Youth Ballet & Jazz Combo (Ages 8-12)

An intermediate class that focuses on a ballet barre, cross-overs, isolations and choreography. Experience necessary.

Ballet Beginner Level ()

Students should meet a minimum of 2 years of formal dance training. At this level, basic techniques involving both barre and center work are taught. The introduction to terminology and classical ballet background are also covered. Meets once per week. Instructor consent required.

Ballet Intermediate Level ()

Reserved for students with 4 years of classical ballet training. Students at this intense level continue to develop greater appreciation and control of their bodies through barre and center work. Meets twice per week. Instructor consent is required.

Pre-Pointe Level ()

Students preparing to go “En Pointe” study at this level. Students must be at least 10 years old. Dancers can expect to work on strengthening ankles through various dance steps. Instructor consent is required.

Pointe Levels ()

Students having mastered all the Demi-Pointe techniques and a minimum of 5 or more years of classical ballet training. Dancers must master all of the steps, both on the barre and off. Instructor consent is required.

Contemporary Ballet ()

Students who are not ready for a serious commitment in classical training, but want to develop a greater understanding of ballet.

Theatre Dance ()

This unique class incorporates choreography from Broadway Shows, movie themes and world renowned musicals. Instructor consent is required.

Leaps & Turns ()

An athletic approach to dance. Various crossovers involving jumping and turning which can be useful to enhance all forms of dance. Instructor consent is required.

Lyrical ()

A class which allows the body to express emotions through technical dance movements. Lyrical connects ballet and jazz movements at a more contemporary pace. Instructor consent is required.

Adult Jazz ()

A class designed for the adults who want to get in shape and work on coordination skills through music. This class will introduce basic footwork and dance skills.

Conditioning ()

A class designed for the student who wants to increase stamina by improving ones cardiovascular and aerobic endurance.

Pilates ()

A program which focuses on the core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced in order to provide support for the spine. Exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment while strengthening, stretching and stabilizing key muscles. “The Pilates Principles” areto condition the entire body through proper alignment, centering, concentration, control, precision, breathing and flowing movement. Multi-levels are taught so anyone beginner through advanced is welcome to attend.

Company Classes ()

A pre-professional program designed to train students in classical ballet, Pointe, lyrical, tap, theatre dance and stylized jazz. The curriculum, which focuses on classical training, helps students to develop greater body awareness and prepares them for a possible career in dance, teaching or theatre. Company members also compete and perform at various events. Participation is achieved through tryouts.

Pre/Petite-Elite Level (Ages 5-8)

A class designed for the dancer who has progressed through the preschool program and wants ballet, jazz and some outside performance experience. This is a transitional program between the preschool program and the performing company program.

Mini-Elite Ballet/Jazz Levels (Ages 8 & up)

A class designed for those dancers who have mastered all beginner techniques, body isolations, crossovers, and short combinations. Instructor consent is required.

Junion Ballet/Jazz (Ages 10 & up)

A class designed for those dancers who have mastered all of the intermediate skills and are ready for longer and more complicated barre work, crossovers and combinations. Students at this level may audition for the Junior Performing Company. Instructor consent and student screening is required.

Senior Ballet/Jazz ()

A strong ballet foundation is required. A combination of New York and L.A. styles are taught at this level. Instructor consent is required.

Dance Teams ()

A program developed for those dancers wanting to participate in outside performances. These students meetweekly for ballet and jazz instruction. Focus is placed on barre work, crossovers, and combinations. Students also learn the importance of teamwork and utilizing their skills and facials to become good performers. Student screening is required.

Mommy N Me thru Kinder:

Dancers should wear pink leotard, pink tights, ballet slippers and black patent leather tap shoes.  Hair should be pulled back away from the face.

Pee Wee/Youth Ballet:

Dancers should wear black leotard, pink tights and ballet slippers.  Hair should be pulled back away from the face.

Pee Wee/Youth Jazz/Hip Hop:

Dancers should wear dance apparel such as leotards, shorts, dance pants or capris and tan jazz shoes.  Hair should be pulled back away from the face.
