This summer our company traveled to Las Vegas to attend Velocity Nationals. The way our small little studio from Brunswick Ohio represented during the entire week surpassed all expectations. It was a phenomenal event in so many ways. The talent was top notch. We know in order to keep progressing we have to be surrounded by the best and every year we leave feeling so inspired. This year we had THREE of our pieces make it into the closing night gala where they got to re-compete for the title of Maximum Velocity Performance. These routines were also competing in three different genres of dance; musical theatre, jazz, and contemporary. “Be Our Guest” was 1st Runner-Up, and “Get Your Freak On” & “Turning Tables” were 2nd Runner Up. These placements were out of the entire age division…. pretty crazy. Teen company member, Madyson Likovic, placed among the top 20 in the intermediate MVA competition. To top it all off we had FOUR dancers receive the prestigious invitation to the MVA+ program. Congratulation to the following: Kaitlyn Ansberry, Samantha Beran, Molly Johnson, Aubrey Smith.
Everything about this week together was so special. It was the most amount of dancers we have ever had attend nationals and we just feel grateful. The biggest thank you to our incredible dance parents for continue to support both dance and this studio. We couldn’t do it without you!!
